RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is a program that assists adults into full acceptance into the Catholic Church. A team of experienced lay catechists facilitates this process of growth in the individual. People who might be interested in this program are those who have recognized a call from God for greater union with Him and desire to fulfill this call. RCIA program is structured to provide for a variety of individual backgrounds:
The program is adapted to the particular needs of each person. Usually, for the unbaptized, the process takes one calendar year. Special considerations sometimes affect this time frame. Inquiry sessions are ongoing for people who are curious about the Catholic faith and want to discover more about their life’s journey, the call to God, and the coming to faith.
Adult Confirmation
This class is for those who are baptized Catholics and may have received First Holy Communion, and are seeking to deepen their faith. This is a separate class than for those who are non-baptized or non-Catholic. The Rite of Confirmation is a sacrament that continues the welcome and belonging that began with baptism and has continued with the Eucharist. Confirmation deepens our relationship with God and strengthens us to live lives of faith and mission. Confirmation classes will be held online at a time to be determined. Adult Confirmation program is structured to provide for a variety of individual backgrounds:
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, our Program will begin virtually via Zoom; if and when restrictions are lifted, we will reevaluate the possibility of meeting in person at St. Mary’s. We will rely on “Zoom” (for our sessions),
