Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we are all aware, many of our friends and neighbors are struggling financially during these trying times of the Covid-19 pandemic. The holiday season will be a particularly trying time for families to make ends meet. Together as a community of faith we can make a small
difference in the lives of those in need.
I would like to invite you to bring Christmas hope and joy into the lives of families in need this year, by providing a Christmas care package to a family in need. Together, in a spirit of solidarity and love, we hope to provide a Christmas dinner, with all the trimmings to 600 families in need this Christmas. You can be a part of this holy endeavor this year by filling this box with the below suggested items. I would also like to invite you to include a personal note of well wishes, Christmas blessings and encouragement. Please feel free to decorate the box also!
You can drop off your Christmas care packages at Smith Hall at St. Mary’s of the Assumption, 7215 Newlin Ave. Whittier Ca. 90602. On any Monday or Thursday from 4pm to 7 pm before the 10th st of December. We will be distributing our Christmas care packages on Saturday the 12th of December from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
