Congratulations on your desire to baptize your child and welcome them into the family of the Catholic Church. Here at St Mary's, we are excited to share this incredibly blessed time with you and the newest member of your family.

PLEASE NOTE
Who can register to be baptized?
Children under the age of 7 are eligible to be baptized. If your child is over 7 years please get in touch with the Faith Formation Office
Who can register a child to be Baptized?
Only the parent and/or Legal Guardian can register a child to be baptized.
What documents do I need to Baptize?
Bring birth certificate OR letter of live birth of the child to the parish office
Complete our Baptism class OR have proof that baptism class was taken at another Catholic Church
Must be a registered member of St Mary’s Church. If a member of another parish, a letter from the parish authorizing the baptism of the child at St Mary’s is required.
Who Can be a Godparent?
In order to be a godparent, all of the following are required
Must be practicing Catholic who has received their sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation & Holy Communion
Must be at least 16 years of age
If married, their marriage must be recognized by the Catholic Church. If living with someone in a relationship, but not married, he/she cannot be a godparent.
A Godparent may not be the parent of the child being baptized.
